Free Ayushman Card Camp Held at Rajnagar Residency: Senior Citizens Benefit

Ghaziabad: A free Ayushman Card Camp was successfully organized today at Rajnagar Residency Society, providing an invaluable opportunity for senior citizens aged 70 and above to obtain Ayushman health cards seamlessly.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from most of the society’s elderly residents, who availed themselves of the free Ayushman Card facility. Additionally, over 50 residents underwent health checkups, which included tests for blood sugar, blood pressure, and a general physician consultation. Complimentary medicines were distributed to all participants.

The camp was conducted under the aegis of the Jagannath Charitable Trust, with steadfast support from Rajnagar Residency’s maintenance in-charge, Harsh Chaudhary, and his team. Resident volunteers, including Rajeev Singhal, Nidhi Singhal, and Renu Aggarwal, played pivotal roles in ensuring the smooth execution of the camp.

Manoj Aggarwal, the media coordinator, highlighted the appreciation received for the Ayushman Bharat scheme initiated by the Modi government. He emphasized its positive impact on senior citizens but also urged the government to lower the age eligibility to 60 years. “This adjustment would extend the scheme’s benefits to a larger number of senior citizens and act as a much-needed lifeline for those leading stressful lives,” Aggarwal remarked.

Essential Document Checklist
Participants were informed to bring the following documents for Ayushman Card enrollment:

  • Original and photocopy of Aadhaar Card
  • One passport-sized photograph
  • Aadhaar-linked mobile number

The event underscored the importance of accessible healthcare for the elderly and set a commendable example of community-driven initiatives aimed at improving quality of life for senior citizens.
