Excessive Mobile Usage Linked to Rising Impotence, Warns Ayurvedacharya Dr. Abhay Narayan

Meerut: A thought-provoking seminar on health and wellness was conducted today at the N.A.S. Inter College auditorium, where renowned Ayurvedacharya Dr. Abhay Narayan shared alarming insights into the health risks associated with modern lifestyles. The seminar, titled “Health in the Digital Age,” focused on the repercussions of prolonged mobile phone usage on physical and mental well-being.

Dr. Abhay Narayan, a respected figure in the field of Ayurveda, delivered a powerful keynote speech, emphasizing that while mobile phones have revolutionized convenience, they also pose a significant threat to human health. He highlighted a disturbing trend, predicting that if mobile addiction continues unchecked, 60% of the youth population could face impotence within the next decade.

The Science Behind the Concern

Dr. Narayan elaborated on the harmful effects of radiation emitted by mobile phones and how it disrupts hormonal balances and reproductive health. He cited studies indicating a direct link between mobile radiation exposure and reduced sperm count, poor fertility, and chronic fatigue. Additionally, he discussed how prolonged screen time impacts mental health, leading to stress, anxiety, and sleep disorders, further exacerbating physical health problems.

“Health is not just about treating illnesses but preventing them through mindful living,” Dr. Narayan asserted, urging students to reduce screen time, engage in physical activities, and adopt an Ayurvedic approach to their daily routines.

Lifestyle Changes Suggested

Dr. Narayan recommended a few practical steps:

  • Limit Screen Time: Reduce daily mobile usage to less than two hours, especially before bedtime.
  • Balanced Diet: Incorporate fresh fruits, vegetables, and traditional herbs into meals to strengthen the body.
  • Yoga and Exercise: Include daily exercise and breathing techniques like Pranayama to detoxify the body.
  • Digital Detox Days: Dedicate at least one day a week to disconnect from digital devices.

Support from Other Speakers

Following Dr. Narayan’s session, Umesh, another distinguished speaker, reiterated the importance of adopting a disciplined lifestyle. He noted that the growing dependence on digital devices is not just a personal issue but a societal one, impacting relationships, academic performance, and workplace productivity.

The seminar also included valuable contributions from school manager Amit Sharma, who urged students to prioritize health over convenience. “Technology is a tool, not a lifestyle. We must control it before it controls us,” he remarked.

Key Figures and Attendees

The event was coordinated by senior science teacher Deepak Sharma, whose dedication ensured the seminar’s success. Notable attendees included Pankaj Gupta, Shashibala, Dr. Satya Prakash Shukla, Rajat Balyan, Ranjit Kumar Patel, and Mohanlal, along with several other faculty members and over 300 students.

Broader Impact

The seminar concluded with an interactive Q&A session where students raised concerns about their dependency on mobile phones and sought advice on how to manage their time effectively. Vice Principal Vijendra Kumar Dhyani delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, acknowledging the insights provided by the speakers and the enthusiastic participation of the students.

This seminar underscored the urgent need for digital awareness and a return to holistic living practices to safeguard the health of future generations.
