Election Campaign Wraps Up as Polling Teams Depart; Voting Set for Tomorrow

Meerut: With the Lok Sabha elections in Meerut and Baghpat scheduled for April 26, polling parties have begun their journey to polling centers today. Political fervor has gripped the electoral landscape as candidates and their supporters intensify their efforts to secure victory.

The second phase of the election campaign concluded on Wednesday evening, paving the way for the deployment of polling parties. Today, from Victoria Park, polling parties for the Meerut-Hapur Lok Sabha elections have started arriving at 756 polling centers spread across five assembly constituencies.

Preparations for this phase have been underway since yesterday, with the district administration ensuring all necessary arrangements for polling personnel. The upcoming elections will witness the participation of 20,53,000 voters across the Meerut-Hapur Lok Sabha constituency, comprising the assembly segments of Kithore, Meerut Cantonment, Meerut City, Meerut South, and Hapur, where 756 polling centers have been established.

District Magistrate Deepak Meena stated, “Today, polling teams for our five assembly constituencies are being dispatched. All facilities have been provided to polling personnel.” The district administration has prepared to dispatch polling parties from Victoria Park, with preparations for polling booths already completed.

Pink booths, Divyang booths, Model booths, and Youth booths have been set up in all five assembly constituencies. The administration is actively engaged in decorating the booths, ensuring a smooth polling process for tomorrow’s elections.
