“Eco Club Organizes Public Awareness Rally under State Clean Ganga Mission in Meerut”

Meerut: Under the State Clean Ganga Mission and Mission Life, a public awareness rally was organized with the support of the Eco Club by Raghunath Girls Inter College, Meerut. The rally was inaugurated by Rajesh Kumar, Regional Director, Meerut, by hoisting the flag. The Principal of Raghunath Girls Inter College, Meerut, Rajni Rani, the Eco Club coordinator, Sangita Singh, and approximately 200 children participated in the rally.

Discussions were held with the officials of the Geological Survey of India and the HOD of the Geological Department, Chaudhary Charan Singh University. The representative of Chaudhary Charan Singh University informed that a satellite center will be established in the university campus to facilitate remote sensing and GIS technology in the district of Meerut. This will also benefit the students conducting research at Chaudhary Charan Singh University. On this occasion, Dr. Navneet Singh Scientist, Zonal Director of the Geological Survey of India (GSI), Kolkata, Dr. Devvrat Sen Scientist B, GSI Headquarters Kolkata, and Dr. Sandeep Kushwaha Assistant Geologist, GSI Jabalpur, participated. After the discussion, the team from the Geological Survey of India will also study the area of the Hastinapur Wildlife Sanctuary.
