Drama at a Meerut Hotel: Cop, Girlfriend, and a History-Sheeter’s Birthday Clash Ends in Violence and Gunfire
Meerut, April 23, 2025 : In an incident that reads more like a scene from a crime thriller than real life, a clash between a police officer and a known history-sheeter at a hotel in Meerut has sparked outrage, embarrassment, and a manhunt that continues to unfold.
It all began when a local police outpost in-charge booked a room at a hotel in his jurisdiction to meet a female friend. Coincidentally, a history-sheeter had also chosen the same hotel to celebrate his birthday party with friends.
According to reports, when the individual discovered the officer in a private moment with his companion and felt “disrespected” over the perceived delay in access to the room, he and his associates stormed in, triggering a heated altercation. The situation quickly escalated, and the group allegedly beat up the police officer, dragging him from the hotel room all the way to the adjacent highway in full public view.
In a bold and brazen move, the attackers called in the media, claiming the officer was found in a “compromising position” with his female companion, further fueling the controversy.
As the news spread like wildfire, the matter reached senior police officials. The officer was promptly relieved of his duties, placed on line duty (inactive posting), pending further inquiry.
Meanwhile, a case was registered against the attackers on the complaint of the hotel management. As police launched a crackdown to apprehend the culprits, a raid was conducted at a suspected hideout.
The situation took a dangerous turn when shots were fired from within the premises, leading to a brief gun battle. In the exchange, one of the suspects was injured and arrested. The arrested individual, who is known to hold a prominent position in a farmer’s organization, is reportedly named in multiple serious criminal cases.
The main accused remains on the run. Police sources say he is likely armed and dangerous, and multiple teams are in pursuit to bring him into custody.
