Ma Kushmanda is worshipped on the 4th day of Navratri.
Her name literally means, the one who is the creator of ‘little cosmic egg’ called Universe. It is thus believed that Ma Kushmanda is a form of Shakti who created the Universe & was the first being of the entire Universe.
Ma Kushmanda has eight arms which bear Kamandalu, Bow, Arrow, Lotus, Pot of Nectar, Disc Mace & Rosary. She rides a Lion which invokes fearlessness in her devotees. Her worship brings prosperity, powers, pleasure and salvation. She destroys all ailments, troubles and hurdles of her true devotees.
