Celebrating Young Voices: Winners of Letter-Writing Competition Honoured in Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad, April 4, 2025 : In a heartwarming celebration of traditional communication and student talent, the Indian Postal Department and the Flat Owner Federation of Rajnagar Extension came together to felicitate young participants of the recently held letter-writing competition. The prize distribution ceremony took place with great enthusiasm on April 4, recognizing winners from the competition held earlier on April 20.

The event was chaired by Colonel Tejendra Pal Tyagi, Chairman of the Flat Owner Federation, while Bhoor Singh Meena, Senior Superintendent of Posts, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The function also saw the presence of notable guests including Rishi Kumar Sharma, former Deputy Secretary of the Hindi Academy, Delhi Government, and Avi Goyal, Director of GD Goenka School.

Winners and Recognition:
The competition was divided into two categories:

  • Grades 6 to 8:
    • 1st Prize: Trisha (A.K. Children School)
    • 2nd Prize: Swamit (St. Joseph School)
    • 3rd Prize: Vanya Tyagi (DPS Rajnagar)
  • Grades 9 to 12:
    • 1st Prize: Bhavyanshi Dwivedi (A.K. Children School)
    • 2nd Prize: Vadiksha Chaudhary (GD Goenka School)
    • Joint 3rd Prize: Pranav Singh Anand (DPS Rajnagar) and Lavanya Maheshwari (Arvachin International Public School)

The prizes were jointly presented by Col. Tyagi and Bhoor Singh Meena on behalf of the federation and the postal department.

A Tribute to Service and Values:
Colonel Tyagi, while addressing the audience, emphasized the enduring trust the public places in the integrity and discipline of two key institutions , the police and the postmen. He remarked, “It is not victory alone that leads to the top , it is the resilience after every fall that truly shapes a champion.”

Anchoring and Community Support:
The ceremony was skillfully conducted by Rajkumar Tyagi, President of the Flat Owner Federation, Rajnagar Extension. Local civic leaders and community members were also present in strong support, including Councillor Smt. Suman Lata, Dr. Rajeev Srivastava, Sharad Singhal, Anil Gupta, Mridul Mahesh, Varun Tyagi, Neetika Shukla, Arun Shukla, Chinki Sharma, Rashmi Chauhan, Lalit Gupta, Dr. Darshana Agarwal, and many others.

The event served not only as a platform to recognize student excellence but also as a reminder of the relevance of letter-writing in a digital age – nurturing thoughtful expression, patience, and deep communication.
