Celebrate Responsibly: UP DGP’s Advisory for a Safe New Year
Lucknow, December 31, 2024: Ahead of New Year celebrations, Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) Prashant Kumar has issued a clear and firm advisory urging citizens to celebrate responsibly while ensuring safety and order.
“Make this New Year joyous and responsible,” DGP Kumar stated, emphasizing critical safety measures:
- Avoid driving under the influence of alcohol.
- Do not ride with three passengers on a two-wheeler.
- Wear helmets as a vital safety precaution.
- Strictly adhere to speed limits.
The DGP warned against any unlawful activities, particularly harassment or disruptive behavior. “Such actions not only violate the law but also mar the joy of others,” he remarked, stressing that public safety and maintaining law and order remain the police department’s top priorities.
Prashant Kumar assured the public of strict legal action against violators. “Let us work together to ensure this New Year is both happy and secure,” he added, extending his wishes for a safe, healthy, and prosperous New Year to all.
