Businessman commits suicide due to lender’s harassment in Meerut

A 61-year-old man has allegedly committed suicide after being harassed by a private finance company from whom he had taken a loan. Yogendra Choudhary, electronics shopkeeper at PL Sharma road committed suicide by shooting himself in his car.  A bullet shell, suicide note and depression medicines were found from the businessman’s car. Meerut Police has started the investigation.

Police also recovered a licensed pistol from the car. The relatives of the deceased told the police that he was under stress for some time. He slipped into financial stress as lenders started putting pressure on him to repay the loan.
