Boond Foundation Organizes ‘My Mission, My Water’ Program at St. Joseph Inter College, Lal Kurti
Meerut: In a concerted effort to raise awareness about the looming water crisis and foster a sense of responsibility among students, the Boond Foundation organized the ‘My Mission, My Water’ program at St. Joseph Inter College in Lal Kurti on December 20.
The President of Boond Foundation, Ravi Kumar, addressed the students during the program, emphasizing the critical situation faced by the city of Nairobi, Kenya, which has successfully achieved water independence. He stressed the importance of being vigilant to prevent any water crisis in our own country, India.
The primary objective of the ‘My Mission, My Water’ program was to instill a sense of water conservation among college students. Ravi Kumar outlined the initiative, mentioning that students actively participating in water conservation and creating awareness among their peers would be recognized by the Boond Foundation on World Water Day. Additionally, those students would be honored with school textbooks sponsored by the foundation.
Father John Chiman, a notable presence at the event, shared insights into the urgency of water conservation. He stressed the need for individuals to first educate themselves and then spread awareness about water conservation.
Students enthusiastically participated in discussions about water conservation, expressing their thoughts on the matter. A special mention was made of those students who proactively engage in raising awareness about water conservation, and they are expected to receive recognition from the Boond Foundation.
School Principal Jitendra Kumar took a pledge for water conservation during the program, setting an example for the students and encouraging them to follow suit.
The event witnessed the presence of Dharmendra Martin, Anurag, Chirag Kakkar, Saifali Kakkar, Rahul Singh, Amit Sabharwal, and other dignitaries, making it a comprehensive and impactful initiative for water conservation awareness.
