BJP Leader Sangeet Som Claims Conspiracy to Fund Hamas through Weekly Markets

Meerut: In a controversial statement, BJP leader Sangeet Som has alleged that there is a conspiracy to fund Hamas by gathering money from weekly markets predominantly operated by a particular community traders. This statement has ignited a heated debate, with calls for investigations by central agencies and boycotts of such traders gaining momentum.
Sangeet Som made these remarks in Meerut during a gathering of the Thakur community, which has been showing solidarity against terrorism and anti-national elements. He argued that there should be checks on the weekly collections of money and that it should be ascertained whether this money is being used to support organizations like Hamas.

He emphasized that demonstrations in support of Hamas and other such activities are detrimental to national security and should be treated as acts of treason. Som expressed his support for Israel and called for action against those opposing Israel’s stance. He also suggested that universities such as Aligarh Muslim University, where anti terrorism sentiments are prevalent, should be closely monitored.
Sangeet Som urged his community not to engage with traders and vendors who might be involved in any funding activities. He said that the western parts of Uttar Pradesh should be connected to Delhi and encouraged the gathering to contemplate why they had come together today. He highlighted the need for historical awareness, especially the sacrifices made by their ancestors, and stressed that it’s crucial to work within the framework of the Indian constitution to uphold their rights and values.
