Best Self Sustainable City Noida Is The Only City In The Country, The Cleanest In The State

Noida: In the cities with a population of three to one million, Noida has once again maintained its squareness in the state in the Swachh Survekshan 2022. Noida has been ranked fifth in this category. Although Noida was ranked fourth in this category in the last survey, but despite slipping down one place, Noida has continued to occupy the top position in the state.

The biggest achievement has been given to Noida as the ‘Best Self Sustainable City’, in which the city has got the only honor in the entire country. This award is given for making the city clean and maintaining it through its own resources.

11th place in the country

However, in all categories, Noida has been ranked 11th in the Swachh Survekshan 2022. Noida was chosen for this position in the last survey. Noida was successful in saving this position. Noida participated in 4355 cities across the country.

Results declared in Delhi

The overall score was 6332, out of which 2556 in SLP, 1050 in GFC, 600 in ODF, and 2126 in Citizen Vocal. The results of the cleanliness survey 2022 were declared at Talkatora Stadium in Delhi on Saturday.

Noida got many achievements

Best performing cities in the country were called for the award. In such a situation, Uttar Pradesh’s Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’ along with Noida Authority’s Chief Executive Officer Ritu Maheshwari and Public Health Department’s Project Engineer Vijay Kumar Rawal were present when Noida got many achievements.

After receiving the award, Ritu Maheshwari said that this award will prove to be a milestone for the city. This honor would not have been possible without the cooperation of the townspeople. For this, our officers and employees have worked tirelessly.

Awarded for these reasons

  • Cleanliness-related wall paintings in various areas of Noida were made to beautify the regularly dirty places permanently.
  • Garbage was disposed of in the sectors themselves by setting up a maximum number of decentralized compost plants.
  • Sewer-related work and facilities of sanitation workers were improved by participating in Safai Mitra Safety Challenge.
  • Beautification of more than 400 garbage sites was done in full control of open dumping.
  • Online monitoring of bioremediation, door-to-door garbage collection, mechanical sweeping, C&D waste disposal, and attendance of all employees through Face App, etc.
  • The quality of work was greatly improved and accelerated through regular review meetings, site inspections, and monitoring of sanitation works.
  • The NGO made people aware of cleanliness awareness campaigns in all sectors and villages and to stop the use of single-use plastic.
  • Bag banks are set up in various sectors to stop the use of single-use plastic.
  • Construction of a maximum number of 69 community toilets, 102 public toilets, 16 pink toilets for women, and 119 urinal blocks
