Meerut: A shocking incident unfolded in the Brahmpuri area of Meerut where an assailant entered a residence and opened fire on a couple. The gunfire left the couple injured, who were swiftly admitted to a private hospital for immediate treatment. Tragically, the husband succumbed to his injuries during treatment, while his wife continues to fight for her life at the same hospital.

The incident, captured by nearby CCTV cameras, has prompted a swift response from the law enforcement agencies. Multiple teams, including the Special Operations Group (SOG) and the Forensic team, arrived at the scene following the revelation of the captured footage. The Inspector General (IG) also arrived to oversee the investigation.

According to preliminary reports, the attack occurred when the assailants forcibly entered the couple’s residence and unleashed a barrage of gunfire. The injured victims were rushed to a private hospital, which has been providing critical medical care to ensure their recovery. However, amidst the treatment, the husband tragically passed away due to the severity of his injuries.
