Army Public School, Meerut hosted SPIC MACAY

Meerut Cantt : Army Public School, Meerut hosted ‘The Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Amongst Youth’ (SPIC MACAY) with the aim to introduce the children to music and keep them connected to their cultural heritage. The Chief Guest on this occasion was the renowned Sangeet Natak Akademi award winner Sitar maestro , Pandit Nayan Ghosh. He was accompanied on the Tabla by Pavan Sidam. Pandit Nayan Ghosh inspired the students with his musical presentations. The melodious sounds of the Sitar combined with the soothing beats of the Tabla left the audience spellbound.

Pandit Nayan Ghosh addressed the students and told them that music is a stress buster which not only relaxes the mind but also serves as a medium to express one’s feelings. He further stressed that students could take up music both as amateurs as well as professionals.

The students of ‘ Hub of Learning ‘ schools , viz. International Public School, K.K.Public School, Kaushik Public School and Baleram Brijbhushan Saraswati Shishu Mandir were also present on this occasion. The children thoroughly enjoyed the impressive programme with full enthusiasm. It was an unforgettable experience for all of them.

The Principal,Dr (Mrs) Reeta Gupta profusely thanked the esteemed guests and remarked that NEP,2020 also emphasises the inclusion of Music and Art to make Teaching -Learning effective. The conduct of such musical programmes invokes creativity and positivity amongst the students.
