Bollywood actor Anupam Kher has turned 67 today. Born on 7 March 1955, Anupam Kher has acted in more than 500 films in his career. He is still active in the films, Anupam will soon be seen in The Kashmir Files. Directed by Vivek Agnihotri, the film will release on March 11. He has to struggle a lot for the fame that Anupam has achieved. Anupam Kher has also made his mark at the international level. Anupam was first seen in Mahesh Bhatt’s film Saransh. This film proved to be a super hit. The highlight was that Anupam played the role of an old father in this film and at that time he was 28 years old.
Anupam had said in an interview about his struggle – I came to Mumbai to become an artist after studying from NSD. At that time I had 37 rupees in my pocket. In those days I used to sleep on the platform of the railway station. Anupam had got the script but when he prepared for it, Mahesh Bhatt took him out of the film and cast Sanjeev Kumar. When Anupam came to know about being removed , he was disappointed. Anupam, who had been struggling for many years, decided to leave Mumbai and went to Mahesh Bhatt’s house to say bad things. Anupam Kher had told in an interview – I told Mahesh that you are making a film on truth, there is no truth in your life. I am a brahmin, I curse you. Mahesh Bhatt was surprised to hear this and stopped Anupam from leaving Mumbai. After that he worked in successful films like ‘Karma’, ‘Tezaab’, ‘Ram Lakhan’, ‘Dil’, ‘Saudagar’, ‘1942 A Love Story’, ‘Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja’ and ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun’ Anupam Kher’s role was different. He has worked in world-renowned films like ‘Bend it like Beckham’, ‘Bride and Prejudice’, ‘The Mistress of Spices’ and ‘The Other End of the Line’.
