AAP Stages Protest in Meerut Against Pakistan’s Provocations and Donald Trump’s Remarks

Meerut, May 17, 2025 : In a bold display of political dissent, members of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) staged a protest at the NH-58 flyover in Kankarkheda, Meerut, denouncing what they described as “cowardly acts by Pakistan” and the “irresponsible statements” of former U.S. President Donald Trump.

The protest, marked by slogans and placards, drew attention from commuters and local residents as AAP leaders condemned both cross-border tensions and international rhetoric that they claimed undermined India’s sovereignty and dignity.

Speaking to the crowd, AAP members criticized Pakistan for continuing to engage in proxy aggression and alleged support for terror activities, calling on the Indian government to adopt a tougher diplomatic stance. Protesters also lambasted Donald Trump for his recent controversial remarks about India, which were deemed “unwarranted” and “provocative” by the party.

“This is not just a political protest—it’s a voice of every Indian who refuses to tolerate insults, whether from a neighbor or a foreign leader,” said a local AAP leader at the scene.

The protest remained peaceful, with local police deployed to manage traffic and ensure order. Authorities reported no untoward incidents.

The demonstration reflects rising local political engagement on international issues and is expected to spark further debate around India’s foreign policy approach and its perception on the global stage.
