AAP Leaders Honor Wrestler Vinesh Phogat in Haryana

Meerut: In a heartwarming gesture, leaders and workers of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) from Meerut honored renowned wrestler Vinesh Phogat for her remarkable achievements in wrestling. A delegation led by Meerut District President Ankush Chaudhary visited Haryana, where they presented Phogat with a shawl and a portrait as a token of their respect and admiration.

Vinesh Phogat recently made headlines with her outstanding performance in the Olympics, where she fought her way to the finals after defeating tough competitors. However, due to an unfortunate situation of being disqualified for exceeding the weight limit by just 100 grams, she had to return to India with a heavy heart, despite her incredible efforts.

Ankush Chaudhary, while honoring Phogat, expressed that she is not just a wrestler but a daughter of the nation who has represented India on the global stage. He remarked, “Whether it’s a battle on the wrestling mat or a fight for women’s dignity on the ground, Vinesh Phogat is a brave warrior. We all stand with her and salute her spirit.”

District Media In-charge Harsh Vashistha echoed these sentiments, stating, “Vinesh Phogat’s performance at the Olympics made us all hopeful for a gold medal. Although the outcome was disappointing, Vinesh remains an inspiration to millions of Indians. She is a medal for the country herself, and we salute her enthusiasm and determination.”

The AAP delegation, which included members such as Somendra Dhaka, Manish Singh, Ankush Chaudhary, Harsh Vashistha, Manoj Sharma, SK Sharma, Bhup Singh, Rahul Chaudhary, and Vaibhav Malik, expressed their collective pride and support for Phogat, recognizing her as a true symbol of courage and resilience.
