A New Dawn for Music in Meerut: SAMA Launched with Grandeur

Meerut, August 17 – The cultural landscape of Meerut witnessed a historic milestone with the inauguration of the Sound and Music Academy (SAMA) at Ganga Plaza. The academy, led by candlelight pianist Samyak Jain and classical vocalist Angel Jain, promises to be a hub for nurturing musical talent in North India.
The academy was formally inaugurated by the Chief Guest, MLA Amit Agarwal, who lit the ceremonial lamp. In his address, he lauded the city’s rich artistic heritage and expressed confidence that SAMA would empower young musicians to make their mark on both national and international stages. “Meerut has always contributed significantly to India’s cultural fabric. With SAMA, our youth will now have the platform to shine across the globe. I congratulate Samyak and Angel Jain for this inspiring initiative,” he said.
A Grand Opening with Music and Talent
The launch event was marked by live performances from SAMA’s accomplished faculty, who showcased their mastery of instruments such as drums, guitar, piano, and tabla. Their energetic renditions offered a glimpse into the academy’s commitment to world-class training.
Academic Partnerships and Global Opportunities
SAMA has forged an academic partnership with Universal AI University, Mumbai, which offers specialized degree programs such as BA in Music Production and B.Tech in Sound Engineering. Students certified by SAMA will enjoy preferential opportunities in Universal AI’s admission and scholarship processes. The association is further elevated by Universal AI’s brand ambassador, celebrated singer Sonu Nigam, opening doors for students to engage with him and other renowned artists in Mumbai.
In addition, SAMA will prepare students for internationally recognized music certifications, including ABRSM UK, Trinity College London, and Rockschool London, ranging from Grade 1 to diploma levels. The academy will also support aspirants seeking admissions to prestigious global institutions like Berklee College of Music and the Juilliard School.
From Training to Stage – A Complete Ecosystem
Until now, young musicians in Meerut were largely confined to learning single skills in isolation. With SAMA, they now have a platform to collaborate, rehearse, and perform in ensemble settings, replicating real-world stage experiences. The academy also plans to host events beyond classrooms. Its first major booking is already secured – a performance at Anti-Social, Mumbai, where Samyak Jain will be on piano and Angel Jain on vocals this September.
A Family’s Journey of Passion and Perseverance
The driving force behind SAMA is the Jain family. Love Jain, Managing Director of the academy and a renowned career counsellor with over 25 years of experience, expressed immense pride in his children’s journey. “Samyak and Angel chose music over conventional paths nearly 15 years ago. With persistence and passion, they’ve made a mark both in India and abroad. SAMA is not just an academy; it’s the culmination of that journey and a gift to the next generation of musicians,” he said.
Community Impact and Cultural Promise
With its state-of-the-art training, global academic linkages, and commitment to cultural events, SAMA is poised to transform Meerut into a significant node on India’s music map. For students and aspiring performers, it offers not just learning but also an ecosystem of exposure, collaboration, and recognition.
