76th Republic Day Celebration at Army Public School, Meerut

Meerut : Army Public School, Meerut, celebrated the 76th Republic Day with great patriotic fervor and enthusiasm under the theme “Self-Reliant India: Development and Resolve.” The vibrant event was graced by Brigadier Nikhil Deshpande, Chairman of APS Meerut, as the Chief Guest. Other esteemed dignitaries included Colonel Pankaj Rawat, Colonel GS, HQ Paschim UP Sub Area, and Colonel Rajneesh Sobti, SO School.

The program began with the ceremonial unfurling of the National Flag, followed by a heartfelt welcome speech by Amrutha Benni of Class V, which set the stage for the day’s celebration. A mesmerizing cultural performance, ‘Bharat Vandana,’ captivated the audience, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of India.

The event was highlighted by vibrant performances such as ‘Rhythm of Unity’ by the Foundational Stage students and ‘Swarnim Bharat’ by the Preparatory Stage students of the Primary Wing, leaving everyone spellbound. A rousing speech by Tanya Negi, Junior School Sports Captain, ignited a spirit of patriotism among all present.

Adding to the festivities was a special prize distribution ceremony where meritorious students from Classes 9 to 12 were felicitated for their outstanding academic achievements in the 2023–24 session.

In his inspiring address, Chief Guest Brigadier Nikhil Deshpande commended the students and staff for their meaningful celebration and emphasized the importance of unity, integrity, and the contributions of citizens toward a ‘Swarnim Bharat.’ He praised the sacrifices of the armed forces safeguarding the nation and urged everyone, especially parents and teachers, to instill patriotism and a sense of responsibility in children.

Principal Dr. Reeta Gupta encouraged students to actively participate in the nation’s progress and expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their contributions to making the event a grand success.

The celebration concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Saanvi Mann from Class V and the singing of the National Anthem, leaving the audience filled with pride and patriotism.

The event’s success was credited to the dedicated guidance of Vice Principal Mrs. Srishta Sneha Rai, Headmistress Mrs. Mamta Singh, Preparatory Stage Coordinator Mrs. Preeti Tyagi, and Foundational Stage Coordinator Mrs. Shalini Sharma.

The Republic Day celebration at APS Meerut was a fitting tribute to the nation and a reminder of the collective responsibility to uphold its values and work toward its progress.
