Meerut: – The 10th International Yoga Day was celebrated with grandeur at the Kailash Prakash Sports Stadium, organized by the AYUSH Department and district administration. The event was inaugurated by the chief guest, Honorable Minister Dharampal Singh, who oversees Livestock, Dairy Development, and Political Pensions for the Uttar Pradesh government.
Approximately 3000 yoga practitioners participated in the event, where they followed the yoga protocol led by Sadhvi Kankeshwari from the Art of Living Ashram in Bangalore, yoga teacher Siddhant Dhoopar, Kaveri Banga, and Yoga Acharya Monbir. The program was coordinated by Rashmi Ahlawat, the district coordinator. Public representatives and citizens also engaged in the yoga practice.
The event’s main theme, “Yoga for Self and Society,” was brought to life through the enthusiastic participation of officials and employees from the AYUSH department (Ayurveda, Unani, Homeopathy), yoga instructors, assistants, and other district departments, along with the general public.
