Street Play on Women’s Safety Awareness Organised in Raj Nagar Extension

Ghaziabad : A powerful street play focusing on women’s safety awareness was successfully organised today at the market area near Gaur Cascades Society, River Heights Society, and Ashiana Palm Court Society in Raj Nagar Extension. The initiative aimed to sensitise the community about women’s dignity, safety, vigilance, and the safe use of public transport.

The programme was conducted with the support of the RNEx Community in collaboration with the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC). Artists from the National School of Drama (NSD) delivered an impactful performance that engaged residents and conveyed strong social messages through theatre.

Through dramatized situations and interactive storytelling, the performers highlighted issues related to women’s security in public spaces and emphasised the importance of awareness, collective responsibility, and timely action in ensuring safer communities. The presentation also encouraged citizens to adopt responsible behaviour and promote respect towards women in everyday life.

Residents and Apartment Owners Association (AOA) representatives from nearby societies actively participated in the event and appreciated the initiative, describing it as meaningful and socially relevant.

Organisers stated that similar awareness programmes and workshops would continue to be conducted across different residential societies and public platforms in the future to strengthen community engagement and promote social responsibility.
