GD Goenka Student Appointed PAC Commandant for a Day under UP Government’s Mission Shakti

Rajnagar Extension : In a proud and inspiring moment, Ms. Yashi Jain, a Class XII student of GD Goenka Public School, Ghaziabad, was appointed as the Commandant of the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) for one day under the Mission Shakti initiative of the Uttar Pradesh Government, aimed at promoting women’s empowerment and leadership.

The initiative offered students a firsthand experience of the discipline, coordination, and responsibilities within the police force. Guided and mentored by Ms. Charu Nigam, IPS, Yashi Jain carried out her duties with remarkable confidence. She inspected the guard of honour, oversaw parade arrangements, visited barracks and the mess, interacted with officers, and ensured smooth coordination of all scheduled events. The police band’s performance and a drill demonstration showcased teamwork and precision, while duty officers reported directly to her, symbolizing her ceremonial authority and command.

Senior officials and guests praised her leadership, discipline, and respect for protocol. The experience gave her invaluable insight into the functioning of the police force and the importance of teamwork, service, and dedication.

Expressing pride in her student’s achievement, the Principal of GD Goenka Public School, Ghaziabad, said, “We are extremely proud of Yashi Jain. Under Mission Shakti, and with the guidance of officers like Ms. Charu Nigam, IPS, such initiatives help young girls develop confidence, leadership, and a sense of responsibility. This experience will inspire many other girls to pursue their dreams fearlessly.”
