Cabinet Minister Sunil Sharma Honours Police Personnel on 77th Republic Day, Inspects Parade at Police Lines

Ghaziabad: The 77th Republic Day of India was marked with pride and solemnity at the Police Lines here, where Cabinet Minister Sunil Sharma inspected the ceremonial police parade and honoured police personnel and officers for their outstanding service and dedication.

The celebrations reflected the spirit of the Constitution and the ideals of justice, duty, and public service that define Republic Day. Addressing officers and personnel after the parade inspection, the Cabinet Minister lauded the role of the police force in maintaining law and order and safeguarding democratic values.

Police personnel felicitated for exemplary service

On the occasion, several police officers and personnel were felicitated for exemplary performance, discipline, and commitment to public safety. Certificates and honours were presented as a mark of appreciation for their contribution to policing and community welfare.

Significance of Republic Day

India celebrates Republic Day every year on January 26 to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India in 1950, when the country became a sovereign, democratic republic. The day symbolises the rule of law and the vision laid down by the framers of the Constitution, led by Dr B.R. Ambedkar.
