Tragedy Strikes in Khoda’s Saraswati Vihar: Wall Collapses during House Construction, Resulting in Casualties

Ghaziabad: A tragic incident unfolded in Khoda’s Saraswati Vihar, as an under-construction wall near the Lal Mandir collapsed, trapping two laborers and a contractor. In the chaos that ensued, all three were rushed to the hospital, with doctors declaring one laborer dead on arrival. The other two injured workers were subsequently transferred to a hospital in Delhi for further treatment.

According to information received, the incident took place on Sunday afternoon, around 2 p.m., near the Lal Mandir in an old house undergoing renovation. The lantern of the house was flickering, and the owner had been overseeing its reconstruction. It was during this time that the wall above Heeralal, Uday, and Rajkumar gave way, trapping them underneath the debris. In a state of frenzy, all three were swiftly transported to the hospital.

Tragically, Uday succumbed to his injuries during transit, while Heeralal and Rajkumar were taken to the GTB Hospital in Delhi for medical attention. Their condition remains critical. The house in question had been constructed without proper architectural plans, and the laborers had not been provided with adequate safety equipment during the demolition process. The police state that no written complaints have been received regarding this matter thus far.

This unfortunate incident serves as a reminder of the importance of adhering to safety protocols during construction activities. The lack of oversight and failure to follow proper procedures have resulted in the loss of a precious life and put others at risk. Authorities must conduct a thorough investigation into the incident and hold the responsible parties accountable for their negligence.
