Ghaziabad : Women were made aware by organizing a camp on the occasion of World Breastfeeding Week on Saturday at Gunjan IVF Center in Indirapuram. More than 50 women participated in the camp. Some women had various misconceptions about breastfeeding. Women were also made aware of breast cancer.
Most of the women who reached the camp had stopped feeding their babies. Women were motivated to breastfeed, citing the risk of ill health of such a child. Dr. Gunjan Gupta Govil said that every person is running after immunity at this time. Mother’s milk is the best for the newborn as a natural immunity booster.
World Breastfeeding Day is celebrated every year from August 1 to August 7 in the first week of August. In the Corona era, all the challenges related to breastfeeding came to the fore.
