Noida : Foundation Day will be celebrated on 15th June at the famous Baba Neem Karoli Dham in Bhowali located in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand. This holy Dham of Baba, considered to be an incarnation of Shri Hanuman ji, is thronged by devotees throughout the year, but every year on June 15, a huge fair and Bhandara is organized here. Here on this day the foundation day is celebrated in this holy Dham. Baba Neem Karoli established this ashram in 1964. People from all over the country and abroad has started arriving to attend Baba’s fair.

Perched on an elevation of 1400 m above the sea level on the Nainital-Almora Road, it is one of the most prominent pilgrimage sites in India. Going back to 1942, as it was the year when Shri Poornanand of Kainchi Village and Neem Karoli Baba propounded the idea of dedicating an ashram to the revered Sombari Maharaj and Sadhu Premi baba who used to offer yajnas here. It was in 1962 when the forest area of the village was cleared and a platform in rectangular shape was established which was later procured by Neem Karoli baba with authorization by the Forest Conservator. Where now stands the divinely beautiful Hanuman Temple close to which stands an ashram and this popular religious site of Kainchi Temple.

How to Reach Kainchi Dham Temple

Pantnagar airport is the nearest one can land on to reach Kainchi dham as it located some 76 kms away from the destination. One can easily get access to cabs from the airport to Kainchi dham.
BY RAIL
Kathgodam railway station is the nearest railway station one can deboard at, as it is located some 45 kms away from Kainchi dham. Cabs are easily available from Kathgodam to your destination.
BY ROAD
The easiest way to reach Kainchi dham is to travel from Nainital as its situated some 18 kms away from the destination. One can hire a cab from Nainital to reach the divine temple.


Malpua’s prasad is available in Kainchi Dham:
Every year on 15th June, the arrangements for the fair to be held on the foundation day have been completed. The temple is decorated with attractive electric chandeliers. Elaborate arrangements have been made keeping in view the crowd. In the temple, devotees will take prasad after seeing Neem Karori Baba. Devotees will get Malpuas in Prasad.
